Belton House near Grantham always hosts some lovely events at Christmas and this year is no exception.
Lisa visited with her family, mainly to run off her little boy’s energy in the adventure playground! The miniature railway is always a hit – this time Grandma was roped in to ride the train while Mum and Dad indulged in hot chocolate from the snack bar!
Entry to the house was timed – you can collect a ticket (a key!) from the booth near the main entrance.
To Lisa’s delight, the house was dressed for Christmas 1929, with a number of volunteers dressed up to suit the story of the time.
The lights were low to make the most of the atmospheric house an Christmas decorations.
