Inspired by my recent Baltic cruise and the port of Warnemünde, I’ve created this delicious cocktail…
It uses a fabulous liqueur ‘Ostseewasser’, which I bought from Karls – it’s an unusual cinnamon liqueur, but isn’t overwhelmingly spiced.
I also added some vanilla spiced sugar and strawberries that I’d had in an ‘Erdbeerinha’ while in port – they love their strawbs in Warnemünde!
So, the recipe…
- Vanilla spiced sugar
- Crushed ice
- 3-4 fresh strawberries
- 50ml Karls Ostseewasser
In a hurricane glass or large tumbler, add a teaspoonful of vanilla sugar, then fill with crushed ice (ice cubes are fine if you prefer).
In a shaker, muddle or blend 3-4 large fresh strawberries. Add 50ml of Ostseewasser and stir well before pouring into the hurricane glass.
Top up the glass with chilled Prosecco and slurp 😊
